- The story will explore the character’s origin, tracking the immortal Princess Diana’s rise as a warrior on the mythic island of Themyscira – and her eventual quest beyond its boundaries to the realm of ordinary men, where she will fight for this outside world amid the backdrop of World War I. Hints of the movie are foreshadowed in Batman v Superman, and the Wonder Woman film will include a modern framing story set after the events of that clash of heroes, according to producer Charles Roven.
Storyline
Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat.
